As part of our 2014 Catskills Outdoor Guide, we're hosting a 2014 edition of our "Catskills Outdoor Experience" photo contest, once again sponsored by the Peekamoose Restaurant & Tap Room in Big Indian.

Winners will be featured in the 2014 Guide, and one grand prize winner gets a dinner for two at the Peekamoose.

Every year, this contest is a blast. Last year, we got over 60 entries, all of them pretty amazing. (You can see them all here.)

So get out there and share some photos with us.

Also, please consider buying an ad in the 2014 Catskills Outdoor Guide. Your ads make this publication -- and this contest -- possible, and they're a fabulous way to reach thousands of outdoors enthusiasts visting the Catskills this year.

Here's how the contest works:

Share photos of your favorite Catskills outdoor experience by April 3, 2014. Points for photos that include people and/or animals, bright colors, and outdoor activities -- and especially combinations of all three! Humor and originality are always excellent, too.

You can submit entries by posting a photo on the Watershed Post Facebook page, by emailing your photo to Julia Reischel at [email protected], or by posting your entry to the 2014 Catskills Outdoor Guide Photo Contest Flickr group. If you submit via email, please make sure to label your submission "Outdoor Guide Photo Contest."

Submit your photo before midnight on Thursday, April 3, 2014. Only one entry is allowed per person. Photos must be print-quality -- large files that have a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

Winners will be chosen by May 21, 2014. One grand prize winner gets dinner for two at the Peekamoose in Big Indian.

The fine print:
No purchase is necessary to enter or win this contest. Contest begins on Monday, March 10, 2014, and ends at midnight on Thursday, April 3, 2014. To enter, you must be 18 and live in New York State. To enter the contest, email a photo to [email protected], post it on the Watershed Post Facebook page, or post your entry to the 2014 Catskills Outdoor Guide Photo Contest Flickr group. Limit one entry per person. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Contestants grant the Watershed Post and the Catskills Outdoor Guide the right to publish their photos and their names in print and online. Entry must be the original work of the contestant, must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person and must not violate any law. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry for any reason. All entries will be judged based on judges’ determination of creativity, wittiness, and beauty. The top scoring entry will be declared the contest winner. The prize — a dinner for two at Peekamoose Restaurant & Tap Room in Big Indian — is worth between $80 and $100. The winner will be notified by email by Tuesday, May 27, 2014, and will be provided with instructions for redeeming the prize.
