Some exciting developments:
- We're printing a pull-out map in the guide, featuring awesome outdoors activities throughout the region.
- The guide will be distributed at REI stores in Connecticut, New Jersey, and NYC (and in over 100 other locations upstate and downstate).
- If you hike a fire tower or paddle a reservoir in the Catskills this summer, you can earn real-deal embroidered badges, including the brand-new Catskill Reservoir Paddler Badge and the super-cool Catskill Fire Towers Badge.
- We've got lots of fabulous entries in our Photo Contest. Submit by April 3!

Our 2014 edition, printing May 21, will be bigger and better than ever. We're printing 20,000 full-color guides this year -- four times the number of guides we printed last year.
We're also expanding the guide with fresh content -- like new trails opening up and new ways to explore the Catskills great outdoors -- with help from our partners at the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference and the Catskill Mountain Club.
