Will State Assemblyman Pete Lopez, who represents portions of the Catskills in Delaware, Greene, and Schoharie counties, run for U.S. Representative's Chris Gibson's vacant seat in Congress in 2016?

It depends on what newspaper you read. The Daily Mail reported on Wednesday, April 15 that Lopez has formally announced his intention to run.
Later that day, the Daily Star reported that the Mail "misfired" when it reported the news of Lopez's announcement, saying that Lopez "said he is still conferring with family members and has no final decision on whether to launch a candidacy."
Both newspapers talked to Lopez. But when the Schoharie News called him to try to get a straight answer, Lopez's office didn't return phone calls.
