Groups boycott DEP meeting

The Daily Star reports that four river conservancy groups are boycotting a meeting with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection that is being held in Grahamsville today. Their grievance? Flooding:

The groups said the plan fails to adequately address flooding concerns, and charge DEP Deputy Commissioner Paul Rush with ignoring their concerns.

"I will no longer participate in meaningless glad-handing appeasement and patronization," Dr. Michael Caccavella, president of the Delaware Riverside Conservancy, wrote to [DEP Deputy Commissioner Paul] Rush.
