When towns flood, all the household appliances, hay bales, and contents of grocery stores and pharmacies end up downstream. Riverkeeper has posted some proof of that axiom on its Facebook page today (see photo above), in a new feature it calls "Catch of the Day," which highlights "notable things we pull out of the river:"
Today it's a household hot water heater we found just north of the Tappan Zee Bridge. This species is NOT native to the Hudson.
