Two men charged with threatening Delhi school

On December 2, 2016 the Delhi Police Department was made aware of posts made on social media, threatening violence against the local school. The school district was immediately notified of the threats and was placed in lockdown. Investigating officers quickly located the authors of the social media post and took them into custody. 18 year old Ben A. Lane of Delhi and 21 year old David S. Piskacek of Fleischmanns are charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, a Class D Felony and are currently awaiting arraignment at Delhi Town Court. Police determined during their investigation that the two men accused of making the posts did not intend to follow through with their threats. The Delhi PD was assisted by law enforcement officers from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, the New York State Police and University Police at SUNY Delhi in securing the school campus and apprehending the suspects.
