Catskills Outdoor Maps

Above: A fold-out set of Catskills Outdoor Maps comes in the middle of every 2015 Catskills Outdoor Guide.

The Catskills region is remote and rural — and it’s a big place. To help you navigate it, we’ve created a couple of visual guides to the landscape. In the middle of our 2015 Catskills Outdoor Guide, you'll find a set of Catskills outdoor maps.

The first is a map of 39 of the region’s top outdoor destinations: ski centers, campgrounds, swimming and boating spots, nature preserves and adventurous attractions.

The second is a lovingly curated map of 36 of our favorite Catskills hikes, ranging from easy strolls to steep and challenging trails. We had lots of help picking these hikes from the expert outdoorsfolks at the Catskill Mountain Club and the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference. Icons help you find hikes to fire towers, waterfalls and historic ruins.

The whole set of maps is detachable: Pull it out of the Catskills Outdoor Guide and take it with you.

For more on the great Catskills outdoors, pick up a free print copy of the 2015 Catskills Outdoor Guide, or download a digital version to read on your device. (Word to the wise: The map set is only in the print version of the Outdoor Guide.)
