Woodridge pizzeria burns down

Another week, another fire. This time, a pizzeria in Woodridge burned to the ground in a very smoky blaze yesterday, injuring five firefighters in the process, according to the Times Herald-Record.

Woodridge Pizza & Cafe was apparently a beloved institution in Sullivan County's Orthodox Jewish community -- the fire was big news on a slew of Jewish community websites. According to Matzav.com, the building was completely destroyed:

A large fire this afternoon thoroughly destroyed the Woodridge, NY, pizza store owned and operated by R’ Shragie and Frumie Feller and family. The structure of Feller’s Woodridge Pizza Cafe & Fish Grill, located at 9 Broadway at the corner of Greenfield Road in the heart of the town of Woodridge, collapsed as firefighters from surrounding towns, including Woodbourne and Mountaindale, joined in battling the blaze. The smoke that billowed to the sky this afternoon was so heavy that it could be seen several miles away.

According to VidYid.com, the power has been knocked out at some nearby bungalow colonies:

Update: No electricity and water at most bungalow colony’s in Woodridge, multiple ppl being treated by catskills Hatzolah for smoke inhalation.

Yeshiva World News had hour-by-hour updates about the blaze, as well as the names of the specific locations that lost power:
