Godwin's Law applies to county board meetings?

Delaware County Board of Supervisors pass resolution opposing a state handgun-regulating bill; threat of Nazis invoked.

Masonville Supervisor Craig DuMond said, “If we give up our Second Amendment rights, it is the beginning of the end.”

Board Chairman James Eisel added, “History tells us what happens if we lose these rights. We all know what happened in Germany.” The resolution passed unanimously and will be forwarded to state and federal legislators.

The bill in question: Assembly 1326.

Godwin's Law: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."
