A nor'easter is churning through the Northeast states, aiming a nasty mix of rain, sleet and snow at the Catskills region.
As of this post, Delaware County is under a winter storm warning issued by NWS Binghamton through 1pm on Tuesday afternoon. The rest of the Catskills -- Sullivan, Ulster, Greene and Schoharie counties -- are under winter weather advisory.
On Thursday January 19th 2017 at about 10:15pm Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 35 year old Brian T. Bennett of Stamford New York, on charges of obstructing governmental administration 2nd degree, felony assault in the second degree, and felony assault on a police officer in the second degree following an investigation into a report of an assault in progress at a Restaurant in the Village of Stamford.
Public protests aimed at the new Trump administration will occur across the world, timed to coincide with today's Women's March on Washington. More than 600 events are planned for today, a few of them in the Catskills region.

On Friday night, January 13, 2017, Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies investigated a one car, roll-over motor vehicle accident on State Highway 10 in the Town of Tompkins, near intersection of Chamberlain Brook Road. Investigation revealed that the vehicle’s driver, 30 year old Adam K.
On Thursday afternoon, January 19, 2017, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 50 year old Marc D. Trautrimas of Brooklyn, New York, upon his voluntary surrender to the Sheriff’s Office on an arrest warrant issued by Colchester Town Court for Grand Larceny in the Third Degree. Deputies say the arrest stems from their investigation of a contractor fraud complaint filed by a Town of Colchester homeowner in October, 2016.
