Senator Bonacic announces committee assignments for the 2017 legislative season

(Middletown, NY)- State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt Hope) announced today that he will again serve as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary and the Chairman of the Senate Racing Gaming and Wagering Committee. Senator Bonacic will also continue to serve as the Deputy Majority Leader for State and Federal Relations.

In addition to serving as Chairman of those two committees, Senator Bonacic will serve as a member of the Committees on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, Banks, Children and Families, Finance, Housing, and Rules.

Stephen Petronio Company comes to Round Top

Audubon Eagle Trip this Saturday

The Delaware-Otsego Audubon Soc. has scheduled its annual field trip to view Bald Eagles for Saturday, January 14.  The group will visit rivers and reservoirs in Delaware County where the birds concentrate to feed.  Recent trips have turned up over 20 eagles.  Other raptors and waterfowl are usually sighted also.  A stop at a local restaurant for lunch is planned for interested participants.

Police still searching for Sullivan County man who went missing 12/29

The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office is still attempting to locate Lawrence Molinaro, age 76, of Cochecton, NY. Mr. Molinaro was reported missing by his relatives on Thursday (12/29/16) after he missed a doctor's appointment at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was last seen Tuesday (12/27/16) by a neighbor. Mr. Molinaro is described as a male white, 5 feet 11 inches tall 300 Lbs., with white hair and brown eyes. He drives a gray 2004 Ford Explorer, NY registration CWG-9116 which is also missing.
