CTW presents Love Letters

Now, in its 15th season, Catskill Theatre Works presents Sarah Lynn Serafin and Kevin Murray in A. R. Gurney’s classic Broadway romance, Love Letters. The show will be performed at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Main Street, Delhi, at 7:30 PM on Saturday, July 19, and 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 20. The show, directed by Al Davino, is a poignant, often humorous, love story told on stage through the reading of love letters shared between two star-crossed lovers, Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, over the course of their lives. Love Letters has been performed numerous times on and off Broadway by some of the stage’s finest actors, including John Rubinstein, Johanna Gleason, Victor Garber, Julie Harris, Colleen Dewhurst and Jason Robards, and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Delhi Paint and Paper Store, or at the door. The Saturday evening performance offers a choice of dinner and theater, or just theater. For those wishing to partake in a light dinner (soup, sandwiches and dessert) prior to the show at 6:00 PM, the price of a ticket is $15 for adults and $13 for students, the extra $5 earmarked for the benefit of St. John’s Episcopal Church.
