Election 2011: Shandaken

Election Results, posted 9:50pm 11/8/11:

In Shandaken, Rob Stanley beats Kathy Nolan for supervisor with 681 votes to 360 votes.

Joyce Grant is Shandaken's new town clerk, with 539 votes, beating incumbent clerk Laurilyn Frasier with 433 votes. Lois Lapinski is a distant third with 78 votes.

Alfie Higley is on the town board, which should make for some interesting town meetings in the near future. Incumbent Vincent Bernstein keeps his seat; new candidate Michael Koegel and former supervisor Peter DiSclafani lost their bids.

Eric Hofmeister keeps his position as Highway Superintendent, beating challenger Keith Johnson 726 to 312.

A "Yes" on Ballot Question 1 votes to raise the town of Shandaken's annual contribution to the Phoenicia Library by $11,000, to a total of $94,000.
