These were one and the same person, an amazing actress, prolific writer, astute producer and businesswoman whose career began in Fleischmanns and spanned half a century. From performing for guests in her parents Flesichmanns boarding house, to starring in the radio show "The Rise of the Goldbergs," to writing, directing and starring in television's "The Goldbergs," Gertrude Berg was known and loved by millions.. In fact, she was once considered the most trusted woman in America, after Eleanor Roosevelt.

Come to the Historical Society hall, 778 Cemetery Rd., Margaretville on Sunday, July 12 to see "Yoo Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg," a documentary on the life and career of this remarkable woman.  Admission is $5.
