Prizes galore at Historical Society event Saturday!

Come to the Historical Society of Middletown, 778 Cemetery Rd., Margaretville, this Saturday, May 10 to try your luck at winning these and many other goods and services at the Mother's Day Weekend Penny Social, a Raise the Roof fundraiser.


We have a beautiful framed California hill country scene, perfect for over the fireplace.Small silver picture frames, a marble lamp, a jewelry keeper shadow box, a collection of local history books. There are all kinds of gift certifcates, from hair cuts to restaurant meals to kayak rentals and train rides.


Wine baskets and cut glass goblets. Spicy jams, picnic supplies, and gourmet teas. Toys, games and collectibles. Hats and fishing lures. Crochet kits, blankets and towels.


Come early for the best selection of home made pies by local bakers -- take one home to mom!


HSM's season long raffe includes cut paper art by Marcia Guthrie, a hand made ceramic platter by Ros Welchman, and a half gallon of maple syrup made by John Riedl.
