A chair in the gracious dining room of the Fleischmann family has your name on it -- if you come to a special Soup Sunday event on April 27. For $25, you can enjoy soup, salad, bread and sweets while helping the Historical Society of the Town of Middletown put a roof on its own humble meeting hall. Leigh and Mark, proprietors of Spillian, the new incarnation of the Fleischmann Park House, will be our hosts for this event, offering a portion of the proceeds to HSM. Come at 3 p.m. and hear the history of this last of five Fleischmann homes that once graced a hillside overlooking the village that bears their name. Then dig in to a bottomless bowl of soup that will warm you as much as the conversation with neighbors and new friends.
