Tour de Pepacton & Float Yer Boat 5k run/walk

On Sunday, May 27 The Catskill Mtn Cycling Club, Inc. will sponsor, at the Margaretville Pavilion, the Tour de Pepacton (it's easier to ride it than to say it), will begin at 9a.m. This is NOT a race, rather a fun ride to benefit Catskill Area Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc..2 routes to choose from: a 25mile fairly flat ride around the newly opened Pepacton Reservoir and also a Metric Century, 60miles around the entire reservoir.

Both rides begin and end at the Margaretville Village Pavilion. water, fruit, and snacks will be provided. In addition, "SAG wagons" will be along for the ride to ensure the safety and comfort of all riders. This means that if you are unable to complete these rides, someone will be there to pick you up and bring you back to the pavilion no matter how far you have gone!

As this ride is sanctioned by USA Cycling, you can register by going to usacycling.com. $25 in advance, or $35 the day of the event.

As you all know, Catskill Area Hospice & Palliative Care is such a worthwhile organization, providing assistance to lots of folks in our area. In addition, May is National Bicycling Month! So dust off your bike seat, and let's exercise for a great cause!

If cycling is not "your thing", then come out at 10am. and walk/run the "Float yer Boat" 5K event which takes place also at the pavilion and goes through the village! All net proceeds will benefit Catskill Area Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. This new aspect of exercising for a great cause is sponsored by The Margaretville Hospital Auxiliary Wellness Committee.
