What do you get when you bring a snowplow to a baseball-bat fight?

Arrested, of course.

This truly epic tale of familial feuding just came in over the transom, from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. We're a little in awe of the huevos required to assault your opponent's vehicle in the parking lot of the police station.

Detectives from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office report the arrests of three individuals from Esopus for Burglary and Criminal Mischief Offenses.

Arrested were, Mark M. Lane, age 39 of 50 Ohio Street, Connelly and his son Mark C. Lane, age 19, of the same address and Maurice J. Lane, age 42, of 557 Broadway Apartments 10B, Port Ewen pursuant to an investigation by deputies and detectives that started with a 911 call reporting two people entering a residence at 557 Broadway Apartments, while armed with a baseball bat and threatening to do bodily harm to the occupants.

Investigatino revealed that Mark Lane and his son went to the apartment of Maurice Lane and got into a confrontation. Following the confrontation, Mark M. Lane and his son were taken to the Sheriff's Office Esopus sub-station. While there, Maurice Lane drove to the station and deliberately damaged Mark Lane's vehicle with the plow blade from his pickup truck.

Mark M. Lane was charged with Burglary 2nd, a Class C Felony, Menacing 2nd and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both Class A Misdemeanors.

Mark C. Lane was charged with the violation of harassment.

Maurice J. Lane was charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd, a Class D Felony and ticketed for leaving the scene of a Property Damage Auto accident.

Mark M. Lane and Maurice Lane were both arraigned in Marbletown Court. Bail was set on Mark in the amount of $5,000 cash or $20,000 bond and $1,000 cash or $5,000 bond for Maurice.

Mark C. Lane was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Esopus Town Court at a later date.
