From a State Police press release:

On September 8, 2010 at approximately 5:05pm The New York State Police, Town of Olive Police Dept, Ulster County Sheriff’s Dept and the New York City DEP Police responded to a reported shooting at a private residence on Deerfield Rd in the Town of Olive. Patrols found a 20 year old victim suffering from two gunshot wounds outside the residence.

The victim met other subjects outside the residence and became involved in a dispute during which one of the involved parties reportedly shot the victim twice then fled the scene with a third person. None of the involved persons lived at the residence and there is no reason to believe that any of the involved parties remain in the Boiceville area.

The victim was flown to Westchester Medical Center where he was admitted in stable condition. State Police are currently two City of Kingston residents who may have information on the case. State Police are requesting anyone with any information with regards to this incident call 845-338-1702.
