Mountain Bike Appreciation Weekend at Plattekill Aug 15-16

Plattekill Bike Park in Roxbury, NY, now in its 20th season of offering lift-assisted Mountain Biking, has just announced they will hold a special “Mountain Bike Appreciation Weekend” August 15-16.  In an effort to show thanks and give back to the biking community for their support over the years of their grassroots efforts, Plattekill will be offering two days of riding for the price of one ($35 pass vs regularly $55), plus an end-of-day pig roast BBQ and music concert on Saturday, August 15 4-7pm.

Plattekill continues to build on its biking dedication to foster the gravity cycling community. Hosting such events as their traditional volunteer-driven “Trail Maintenance Day”, downhill and enduro racing events including several Collegiate events, the Eastern States Cup Series, and now events like their “Appreciation Day”, Plattekill hopes to continue to foster and grow the gravity park community.

This summer Plattekill has expanded their 2-mile long Greenhorn Trail in an effort to bring new riders to the mountain as well as added new beginner and 2-hour long beginner packages to their array of offerings.  In addition, Plattekill hosts many biking camps throughout the summer months to introduce young campers to off-road mountain biking.
