Music and food fair
Admission is $5 per person, children under ten are free and food is sold separately. The 2014 WKC Fair will be held rain or shine. This event is sponsored by The Daily Star, Townsquare Media, The O’Connor Foundation, Riera Improvements, Inc. and Community Bank.
There will be live music from Tumbleweed Highway, Mike + Ruthy, and Blues Maneuver all afternoon under the big tent. The auditorium will be packed with antiques and treasures for the annual Silent Auction & Rummage Sale, along with a “Buy-it-now” selection of local goods, gift certificates and services. There will be delicious locally sourced food for sale all day long. The dessert section of the Fair includes fabulous pies, ice cream from Pie-in-the-Sky (served by the Delaware County Dairy Princesses), cookies, and other baked goods. There will be a beer-tasting booth as well as a beer guessing game, compliments of Brewery Ommegang. Choreographer/dancer/performer Ariane Anthony will be strolling the grounds in costume doing mime and dances. Folks can enter the pie eating contest, take the Family Fun Obstacle Course, and have a family photo portrait made. There will be over a dozen vendors selling their high quality locally produced products in the market section of the Fair. For the young ones the Fair offers many children’s games and activities, including balloons and magic tricks by Chee Chee the Clown.
