Wednesday Night’s Show: Herbalist & Wild Foods Forager – Marguerite Uhlmann-Bower

On Wednesday night’s show, Jim & Ryan will be talking to Herbalist & Wild Foods Forager – Marguerite Uhlmann-Bower. Marguerite may be a retired Registered Nurse, but her passion for the last 35 years has been as a Herbalist. She teaches people how to identifyproperly harvest, & prepare wild foods. You have probably seen many of these plants and perceived them as “weeds.” However, Marguerite teaches that there are many uses for these weeds, among other plants. Tune in at 91.3 FM orstream online @ www.wioxradio.org to learn more.

WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST?

The serviceberry – a.k.a. shadbush, Juneberry, Saskatoon – are beginning to flower. In the Hudson & Rondout Valley, cherry trees are at full bloom as well. Soon enough they’ll be popping up here in Delaware County too.

May the forest be with you,
