HealthAlliance Foundation and HealthAlliance Hospital Auxiliary Provides RN.com Access to All Nurses

The HealthAlliance Foundation in conjunction with HealthAlliance Hospital Auxiliary is pleased to offer access to RN.com to all HealthAlliance Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses.

RN.com is the industry’s leading nursing resource provider and helps advance the nursing profession with high-quality continuing education services. The website provides a comprehensive collection of education and information resources. This service will help HealthAlliance nurses to better their professional career and expand their knowledge and expertise.

“This is a great tool for our nursing staff to have access to, whether they want more information on a specific methodology or to expand their skill set,” said Kathleen Lunney, chief nursing officer at HealthAlliance. “It’s very important to HealthAlliance leadership that we provide opportunities for our staff to advance their knowledge and capabilities within the health care field.”

2013 was the first year HealthAlliance provided nursing staff with RN.com access, and with huge success. This year, approximately 75 percent of staff has already signed up for access.

“The HealthAlliance Foundation Board of Directors realizes the importance of the nursing staff having access to updated information and online training,” said Steffen Kraehmer, executive director of The HealthAlliance Foundation. “The Foundation and the HealthAlliance Hospital Auxiliary is making a significant investment in the hospital staff through the RN.com program, which will be an integral part of staff training that focuses on quality patient care.”

HealthAlliance RNs and LPNs who have not yet signed up but would like access to the website need to contact their director, clinical coordinator or human resources. The next enrollment date will be in April, 2014. For more information, please contact Kathy Kyme in HealthAlliance Human Resources at 334-4931.
