Rocket to Roxbury - Ramones to Remain in Roxbury after Record Breaker Closing

Sean O’Shaughnessy, Greg Frederick and The Ramones

The Orphic Gallery is very pleased to report that Greg Frederick’s majestic portrait of the Ramones will be remaining in Roxbury thanks to the generous patronage of Sean and Chris O’Shaughnessy at the exhibit’s closing reception last Saturday. The closing party was an immense success in all respects with Zonder Kennedy and the Scoville Junkies performing for the delighted crowd.

For those of you who were not able to view this remarkable exhibit, a small, select group of Greg Frederick's amazing portraiture will remain on display in an ante-room at the gallery throughout the summer.  The musicians represented in those works include The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Levon Helm, John Sebastian, Gail Ann Dorsey, Tony Levin, Graham Parker, and Kate Pearson along with a stunning self portrait of Mr. Frederick.

The Orphic Gallery and Greg Frederick would like to thank everyone who made the Record Breaker exhibit a smashing triumph, especially Zonder and Lata Kennedy who introduced the artist to the gallery, all of the patrons of the gallery and attendees of the show, and the staff of WIOX radio who supported the venture at every turn.  The Orphic Gallery will endeavor to continue mounting exhibits and performances that will afford artistic stimulation along with considerable entertainment and amusement.
