To celebrate the bicentenary of the births of Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner, ensemble LiederWorks will pay homage to the two giants of the romantic era with some of their most beautiful and rarely performed songs and melodies. Performances by baritone Kerry Henderson, soprano Kimberly Kahan, and pianist Babette Hierholzer will be punctuated with excerpts from Verdi and Wagner letters read by writer, filmmaker, and Verdi devotee August Ventura.
