This Saturday we have Fresh Pork and Fresh Beef in the cooler. Everything from big fresh hams for holidays, to fabulous pork chops, to stir fry! And a great selection of cuts of fresh beef, too.
Deadlines!
If you want to reserve a large fresh or smoked ham for the holidays, let me know this week. And this week is the last chance for ordering a half pig for your freezer. Next week is the last time to order a side or split side of beef.
Turkey Pickup Times
Time to make your turkey pickup appointments! Think about which day, Saturday or Sunday, Nov. 17 & 18, is best for you to pick up. Then pick a time ... in 15 minute intervals, from 12noon to 3:30pm, for an appointment. And contact me! For example, e-mail with Saturday at 2:15 or Sunday at 1:45. Thanks, you'll save me a lot of time of chasing everyone down. What, you didn't order one yet? Just a few left, hurry!
We'll be open both days for shopping from 12 noon to 4pm, whether you have ordered a turkey or not. We will also be open Saturday, Nov. 24, after Thanksgiving, with Small Business Saturday shopping! More on that soon!
Saugerties Farmers Market
The winter market starts Sunday, November 18 from 12 noon to 4pm. Christine will be back at our booth, inside at the Senior Citizen Center at 207 Market Street. You can give us advanced orders and they will gladly be brought there for you.
Getting ready for the holidays
We're starting to stock the store with our holiday goodies: honey nut toppings, chicken liver pate, roasted honey pecans, dog biscuits and more. Remember we carry Cook's maple syrup, Fancher's jams, and varieties of local cheeses ... great for your table or as hostess gifts. Check out Sheepy Valley yarn and Raven Roost's felt hats and crafts. We are starting to put together gift baskets. New item: our feed bag placemats! You loved them on our picnic tables ... feed bags recycled into washable, reusable colorful placements. $8 for a set of 4. You can pick a Goat, Sheep, Rabbit or other themed set.
Jane will be offering wreaths and swags for the holidays. You can order them in advance by calling Jane at 518-239-8364
And it's time to set out suet for our feathered friends. We have netted balls of suet, ready for hanging.
