Lamb Lover Saturday, Oct. 27

Hi,
Fresh lamb in the cooler!  All the cuts you'd ever want, beautifully vacuum packed.  Legs of lambs, racks of lamb, shoulder roasts, chops, chops, chops, ground and stew lamb.  And my favorites, shanks and riblets!  Store open 11am-3pm every Saturday. Or by appointment.

Next week:
Fresh beef!
If you are interested in a side or split side of beef, I need to know by Friday!  I've attached the beef cutting instructions form FYI.  The beef is $5/lb hanging weight, plus the cost of processing, which may add up to $1.50/lb more.  Or, if you are looking for a particular cut, let me have it cut to order and reserve it for you.

Turkey!
If you haven't ordered your turkey yet, better do it soon!  They will all soon be reserved.  Thanksgiving is just a month away!

Bees Knees Soup Kitchen
Lamb!  Our soup will be a Curried Squash and Lamb Soup for all you lamb lovers.  Here's the plan for lunch, offered from 11am-3pm:

Curried Squash and Lamb Soup
Organic butternut squash from Stoneledge Farm simmered in our lamb broth with chunks of grassfed lamb and mild curry spices. Very tasty!

Oink and Moo Chili
Our grassfed beef and pastured heritage breed pork with organic kidney beans and spices.  Can you guess the "secret" ingredient that made this the winner of the Columbia-Greene Chili Cookoff?

Corn Muffins
Irish Brown Bread

Apple Tart
Kim's Brownies
Either dessert with Ronnybrook Ice Cream, if you'd like!

Local Hot Cider, Honeyed Chai, Fair-trade Organic Coffee, Tea

Photo: Three Icelandic ram lambs, going to new homes soon.  In addition to breeding the sheep for ourselves, we sell registered Icelandic breeding stock.  These guys will bring a great range of fleece colors to the flocks they join.  Their undercoat is black, with silver and brown "highlights."  Amazing looking!
