Labor Day Weekend! Come on over and celebrate with a tour of the farm on Saturday, a great lunch at the Bees Knees either day and getting some fresh chicken or lamb for your own last-blast-of-summer barbecue
Fresh cuts of our pastured chicken and our tender grassfed lamb will be in the cooler. As always, we have a full stock of frozen beef, pork, lamb and chicken as well. We are well stocked with local cheeses, honey, maple syrup, and fresh garlic.
Mushrooms?
It's too early in the week to know if Bob will bring more mushrooms, but the weather conditions are favorable. The oyster mushrooms were spectacular last week! Thanks, Bob! I'll send out an update if we have some.
Jane's Plants
And get those organic potted plants of perennial flowers and herbs from Jane Hershey to spruce up your garden. Jane has a wealth of knowledge on these plants and loves to share it.
New Lambskins Arrived!
Ten colorful soft long fleeced lambskins have come back from the tannery. White, black and multi-gray tones. These are mostly Icelandic breed fleeces, with long, soft, fluffy incredible wool. If you don't want to splurge on one for yourself, it will make a wonderful gift!
Bees Knees Cafe
Order lunch off the menu on Saturday or graze a buffet on Sunday. So far, the weather forecast is looking ideal! Reservations for the cafe (and farm tour) are appreciated. Any last minute updates will be on our website on Friday.

Photo: Intern Gabby's mother and aunt visited last weekend. Mom Jane even bunked in with the interns at their trailer over night for the full experience. All seemed to enjoy themselves very much! I think the smiles say it all.
