Another lovely week on Main Street in Roscoe. Even Thursday's snowy day brought in good friends and hungry shoppers.

New arrivals:

seafood: yellowtail flounder, littleneck clams, and wild 21/24 shrimp

produce: fresh organic mangoes, mesclun, tri-color peppers, russet potatoes, Romaine hearts, and baby spinach, baby arugula, green cabbage, cauliflower, collards, mesclun, chef mix oriental mushrooms, Swiss chard, garnet yams & sweet, sweet cherry-on-the-vine and beefsteak tomatoes in addition to all the lovely Braeburn apples, avocados, bananas, broccoli, grapefruit, mixed herbs, basil, chives, kiwis, lacinato kale, kumquats, cremini mushrooms, orange peppers, pineapples, acorn squash, broccoli sprouts and more already starring in our beautifully cool produce room

cheeses: rejoining the excellent company in our cheese case, the marvelous Nettle Meadow Chevre' Cups: a case each of Mixed Flavors and Horseradish.  They've been out of stock from the distributor, but persistence pays off again.

coffffffeeeeee: the amazing and fabulous locally-roasted coffee arrives Friday a.m. Breathe deep ...

and as always, fresh Bread Alone.

Always arriving: fresh local eggs from pastured hens who are cooked for every day using people-grade feeds & organic produce - and a limited supply of duck eggs, too, for you bakers

Of course, it takes more than good food to keep you healthy; we specialize in the best in vitamins, minerals, herbs, and homeopathy, at competitive prices.

Things to watch for: an increasing selection of local meats, and local artists' work going up on the walls on a rotating exhibit basis.

Please remind us: if you spend $20 and want a free package of Gurley's Almond Bark, mention it, because to save our lives we won't remember to offer it, even though we mean to. Chocolate or vanilla, your choice, and definitely not a healthy item, which is why we're giving away our ordering mistake. (You've been warned.) ;-)

Note: We had a bit of a setback in terms of our plan to be open Sunday mornings; for the time being, please count on us having the store open at 1pm on Sundays, and we'll continue to work on a way to be open earlier that day. thanks for reading! (and passing it on*)
