WOODSTOCK—The winter edition of the Young Artists’ Concert series, sponsored by St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, returns Sunday, February 12 at 3 pm. This Sunday’s concert features three very talented students from the Juilliard School in New York, according to Marie Duane, concert coordinator.

The concert will showcase Chang Wang and Christian De Luca on the piano and, Madeleine Bouissou on violoncello. Their program of music will feature works by Soler, Brahms, Schumann, Medtner and Ravel.

Wang was born in Yichang, China and started piano studies at age 6.  She was first prize winner of the Ameri-China Elite Piano Competition in 2012 as well as the 2014 International Metropolitan Piano Competition. Bouissou is an active performer and teacher at Juilliard.  She has performed at Carnegie Hall and appeared as a soloist with the American Chamber Orchestra and the Ridgefield Symphony. De Luca also is an acclaimed pianist and received the Audience Award in the 2014 International Competition for Piano and Orchestra.  Born in Italy, he made his debut at 17, and has performed at concert halls in Como, Trieste, Rome and Ferrara, all in Italy, as well as Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center.

“We are so fortunate to be able to share these three talents with the greater Woodstock community.  Carrying on our tradition of great music at St. Gregory’s is our continuing objective, “ said Ms. Duane.

The concert is open to the public. A free will offering will be taken.  St. Gregory’s is located at 2578 Route 212 just east of Woodstock village.
