“Catskill Arts & Air” Weaving

Tabitha Gilmore-Barnes will demonstrate traditional weaving techniques and offer some hands on fun for children on Sat. Aug.18 from 10-12 pm at the Pakatakan Farmers Market, Route 30, Halcottsville as part of “Catskill Arts & Air” an open-air arts festival series presenting events every Saturday this summer through Labor Day. Tabitha has been weaving since the mid-1970s, following a dream from high school days. The “Catskill Arts & Air” open-air arts series is presented by the Catskill Mountain Artisans Guild in collaboration with the MARK Project.  Funded in part by the Watershed Agricultural Council and a grant from The New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program, administered in Delaware County by The Roxbury Arts Group.  Events are free.
