Kutshers to open TriBeCa outpost

Losing All Tomorrow's Parties must have been a big blow to Monticello's venerable Kutshers County Club, as we reported last week. But the resort has another trick up its sleeve.

The New York Post reports that the owners of Kutshers are teaming up with serial New York restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow to create a new restaurant named after the resort in Manhattan. The Post doesn't have confirmation about the plan, but foodie blog Eater NY does:

[Chodorow] tells Eater he was approached by family member Zach Kutsher "and a very prominent member of the Jewish community in Tribeca" to see if he was interested in opening a "modern Jewish inspired bistro" (not kosher) in Tribeca, featuring updated and classic versions of many of the dishes served at the old hotel. Chodorow writes, "Having participated in the 'Catskill experience' myself as a child, I thought it was a great idea."
