A fire yesterday afternoon destroyed the Monticello Winery. Yeshiva World News reports:
Fire Departments from multiple towns were dispatched to the Armon Kosher Winery (Allied Wine Corp. / Monticello Winery) at 2 Fairground Road, near Cold Spring Road in the Town of Monticello, shortly after 2:00PM. The fire burned for hours, and firefighters were still on the scene at 7:00PM.
The two alarm blaze caused heavy damage, sources tell YWN, causing the roof to collapse.
The Times Herald-Record says the building is a total loss (and also that the fire was called in around 4pm, a few hours after the time reported by YWN).
