Schoharie beef farmer killed in tractor crash

57-year-old David Huse, the owner of Stone Broke Farms in Warnerville, was killed on Monday when his tractor was hit by a car, according to the Times Journal:

Troopers said the driver of the car, 20-year-old Courtney Chichester of Little York Road, Carlisle, crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the front of Mr. Huse’s tractor, taking part of it off. The tractor flipped over backwards, they said, throwing Mr. Huse off, before the tractor came to rest on top of him. Schoharie County Coroner Donna McGovern pronounced Mr. Huse dead at the scene.

The article notes that the three passengers in the car survived, although one sustained serious injuries when she was thrown into the windshield from the back seat.
