Local knitter, Maggie Corrigan from Warnerville, NY will be sharing her many years of fiber knitting and crafting knowledge with us. She will bring her own drop spindle and demonstrate how she makes her own sweaters, scarves, socks & more.  Shepherd and knitter Kate Henderson of Sheepy Valley Farm, Medusa, will be on hand with more knitting demonstrations, her own yarns and knitting supplies.

 

May 31st Sunday 11:00am-2:00pm

Vicki & Skip Watt from Cluckin’ A Critter Farm, Greenville, will hold a wool spinning workshop starting with shearing the wool/fiber from the animal, cleaning it, dyeing, spinning, knitting & more.

They will have spinning wheels, paddles, drop spindles, raw fleece and lots of show & tell to play with. They will also bring their handmade wool products to sell. Skip makes his own spinning wheels, fiber combs, swifts, spindles, bobbins, repairs spinning wheels and much more. In the end of the class, you can try your hand at spinning wool.

 

Also featured at our store will be colorful wool skeins and knitting products from Kate Henderson at Sheepy Valley Farm, Medusa, NY.

 

Yarn bowls and pottery buttons by Terrice Bassler, Pottery with a Purpose, Berne, NY.

 Our own sheepskins, both long fleeced Icelandic and shorter Dorset, are avaible for sale.  Bags of raw fleece available by the pound.  Assorted lengths and colors.

Our café and farm store will be open 11am-3pm.
