Preston Hollow, New York,— Come meet “Egg” owner, George Weld, at the Bees Knees Café at Heather Ridge Farm as he signs his cookbook: “BREAKFAST: Recipes to Wake Up For” on Saturday, July 11. Favorite recipes from “Egg,” the popular restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, will be featured on the Bees Knees Café menu. Weld’s “Goatfell Farm,” which supplies many of the ingredients for the restaurant is in nearby Oak Hill. Booksigning will start at noon, with the Bees Knees Café open 11am -3pm.

Co-authored with chef Evan Hanczor, the book, with the foreword written by esteemed Southern food writers Matt and Ted Lee, is a love letter to breakfast. While often touted as the “most important meal of the day,” breakfast has become so compromised with people often too tired and rushed to prepare real food and consuming highly processed foods instead. In their new book, Weld and Hanczor celebrate all things breakfast and show readers just how simple and satisfying cooking a wholesome and delicious breakfast can be. 

BREAKFAST features 92 recipes, techniques and pro tips to make the most of the morning, along with stunning images taken at Weld’s home and his Goatfell Farm, in nearby Oak Hill.
