New Mobile Shopping App: Meeting on May 2

Woodstock, NY—On April 10 the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce & Arts (WCOCA) and Ozmott LLC, of Traverse City, MI, signed a letter of intent to establish a pilot program for the Ozmott mobile discount shopping application with Woodstock-area merchants. The new initiative will include local restaurants, shops, arts organizations, spas, lodging venues and others currently participating in the Chamber’s Experience Woodstock Card (EWC) program, as well as those who have yet to join. Representatives from WCOCA and Ozmott will hold an information meeting for local merchants on May 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Woodstock Community Center, 56 Rock City Road in Woodstock. All merchants—from Woodstock as well as surrounding communities—interested in hearing more about Ozmott’s new software application are invited to attend the meeting. The Ozmott name is a combination of “osmosis” and kismet,” and means “sharing your good fortune.”  Read more

Chamber Mixer @ Woodstock Playhouse

On Wednesday, April 4, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m., the Woodstock Playhouse will host a Chamber mixer at 103 Mill Hill Road, the gateway to Woodstock. Principals of the Playhouse will announce their 2012 season of professional summer stock, which will include four shows. Special door prizes will be awarded, and refreshments will be served. According to Woodstock Playhouse Executive Director Randy Conti, “We’d like to take this opportunity to welcome the Woodstock business community to see the newly completed and fully enclosed playhouse.
