Second Annual Greater Maywood Picnic at the Schoolhouse in Sidney Center - July 28th

The Greater Maywood Rural Community Services invites everyone to join them July 28th for their Second Annual Community Picnic at the Schoolhouse, 10770 county Road 23, Sidney Center, NY.

The day's events will begin with a health workshop at 10am hosted by the Sidney Wellness Clinic. This interesting and informative presentation will cover a variety of health challenges that people face today. The community picnic begins at 12pm with a delicious, home cooked meal including: hot meatball subs, hot dogs, hamburgers, beef stew, 3 types of salads, dessert and cold drinks.

At 1:00pm Jim Dorn will entertain picnic guests with new and old favorite tunes on accordion and guitar. Jim plays the many "Jims" (Jim Croce, Jimmy Buffett, James Taylor) along with Simon and Garfunkel, Alan Jackson, Peter Paul and Mary, John Denver, old tyme and children's songs, to name a few. Also, there will be a game and craft table for children.

The Greater Maywood Rural Community Services is a non profit working to restore the former Sidney Center School, now the "Schoolhouse," into a community center. The organization welcomes everyone to join them in celebrating community on July 28th at the annual picnic. There will be plenty of fabulous food, music and fun, so be sure to gather friends and family. Donations to the picnic in order to help maintain the building are gratefully accepted.
