Three arrested for 4-wheeler theft in Cairo

Three young Cairo residents have been charged with breaking into a local home and stealing a four-wheeler, state police announced Monday. 

Arrested on Saturday, Dec. 7 were 19-year-old Michael Greenholtz, 18-year-old Maria Santarelli, and 21-year-old James Sylvester. All three are charged with second-degree burglary, a felony. Police say that in the investigation of a complaint about a stolen Yamaha four-wheeler, they found that the trio had burglarized a Cairo home and stolen the four-wheeler from the attached garage.

All three were arraigned before Cairo town justice Leland Miller and remanded to the Greene County Jail. Greenholtz and Sylvester were remanded in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond; Santarelli was remanded in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
