Veggie Surplus Collection for Local Food Banks

Attention Gardeners in the Roxbury Margaretville area:

It’s been a HOT summer so far this season! Maybe not so comfortable for working outdoors, but many of our local vegetable gardens have really taken off!

If you have any fresh produce you would like to share this season, the food pantries in Roxbury and Margaretville would be very happy to receive any donations. Simply wash,  bag, and drop off at Quarltere’s Garden & Marketplace on Route 30, in Roxbury.

There  is even more need this season as Delaware Opportunities has lost its distribution funding, and due to state regs cannot have volunteers pick up, so anything you are able to donate will be much appreciated!
